Pantone Colors Rose Quartz and Serenity: too sweet for your taste? Not, if you know how to use them…april 27, 2016
Rose Quartz and Serenity are the Pantone chosen colors of 2016. What do you think about using them in your interior? I want to show you that these colors regardless the first impression of being suited only for the baby bedroom can be used in almost any ‘adult’ space to achieve a sophisticated and modern effect.
Rose Quartz and Serenity provide a welcome ‘contrast to the current restless and hectic lives people are living right now’, Pantone explains. These colors evoke a sense of calmness, fluidity, and balance, something we’d all love in our homes.
Rose Quartz and Serenity, are both strong and impactful yet soothing. Let one color take the lead and allow the other to act as an accent to create a serene but striking balance.
The key thing is to take a playful approach to decorating with Rose Quartz pink and Serenity blue.
They can add some unexpected freshness to a simple gray, or white space, or act as soft and refreshing alternatives to more conventional neutrals.
Use simple but statement furniture with clean lines and add in a geometric pattern along with a darker anchor color like bronze or copper. This allows these colors to be used to great effect whilst avoiding the sugared almond connotations.
Add them as accents combined with gold yellow, aubergine purple, dark blue or olive, dark green to create a timeless interior design scheme that is versatile and long lasting.
And remember, although Rose Quartz and Serenity are the colors of 2016, they are also very universal, can survive the passage of time and work well with different interior styles.
